Q. 66 today. Thoughts?
STEVEN ALKER: Very happy, back nine got some rain, it was cooling down, a little bit of wind. Made a few more birdies today which was the key and just putted nicely. Very happy.
Q. How did the golf course play today compared to the previous two rounds?
STEVEN ALKER: Just a bit longer. Kind of had to think about tee shots. Greens were soft, spinning a little bit. You just had to be aware of the spin and just different clubs off the tee.
Q. Particularly nice way to finish, birdie, birdie.
STEVEN ALKER: Birdie on 16, made a nice putt, 30 feet that. Was a really nice one. Caught the slope.
18, it's just playing too long to get there for me anyway. So I just laid it up and hit a nice pitch.
Yeah, just a solid finish and got myself a little bit closer.
Q. Has that been the key today, the putting, going into tomorrow?
STEVEN ALKER: I think so. I hit a few more fairways, too. Felt like I drove the ball better. Kept it in play and hit some nice iron shots early on and gave myself some more chances. Hence, more birdies.
Q. Been a good season so far?
STEVEN ALKER: It's been going all right. I'm very pleased. Just given myself a chance to win golf tournaments, and that's kind of what I want to do. Another week here and going home, that's always a nice feeling.
Q. How high is confidence now going into tomorrow?
STEVEN ALKER: It's good. Good finish a couple weeks ago in America and coming here, I enjoy links golf, I know this is not a true links but it's just got that feel. I always enjoy playing here.
Just keep playing my game and see what happens.
Q. What can you expect tomorrow, now after winning your first senior major?
STEVEN ALKER: Feed off experiences from that and take it forward and hopefully put it into greatness tomorrow.
