Q. Great to see you again, exciting week for you and new chapter in your professional career. What's it like being here at the Senior Open?
BRADLEY DREDGE: My first event. I live about 40 minutes way from here, so being down here a bit over the last couple of years, knowing it's going to be my first event so a lot of friends and family coming down so expecting some good support.
Q. Tell us. It's been a little while since we've seen you. How is the form at the moment?
BRADLEY DREDGE: That's the thing, I suppose. Because of COVID, I didn't really play an awful lot during that time. And then last year, I was going to play a few events and had a back injury, so I missed the season.
And so competitive-wise, I haven't really been playing. So it's going to be a bit different teeing it up in a major event, being my first one and trying to compete with the other guys.
Q. Royal Porthcawl has hosted this event in 2014 and 2017. What cuts about the course and the biggest challenges out there?
BRADLEY DREDGE: For me, the good thing about it, usually, we've had some rain in Wales. It's softened up a little, so the grass is lush compared to normal whereas I think it was 2017, the first three days, I think it was really bone-hard and like playing the M4 then. You had to bunt it around a little bit more and know the course a bit more, whereas when it's softer, you can attack the flags a little bit more and that probably suits my style a little bit more.
Q. As a Welshman, you must be quite proud that this is your debut.
BRADLEY DREDGE: Yeah, definitely. I mean.
Q. You're probably going to have an army of supporters. You say your friends and family are going to be here.
BRADLEY DREDGE: Yeah, definitely. I mean, I've said to my mates, come down, I need the ball spotters. That's the main thing.
It's great to have my first event obviously being the Senior Open, being a local lad, and great having support hopefully, and hopefully I can put a performance together and try and compete and be in at the end.
