Q. You started the day five behind. At one stage, the leader was moving away but you kept pace with him. How pleased with your 67?
ARJUN ATWAL: Really pleased. I didn't hit it all that great today, but I got some lucky breaks in the rough to where I had some good angles into the greens and I took advantage of that. Putted really well.
You know, I just wanted to give myself a chance for tomorrow. So I think I've done that.
Q. 17 birdies in three rounds at Carnoustie --
ARJUN ATWAL: Is that what I've made?
Q. How have you managed to do that?
ARJUN ATWAL: I guess I made enough bogeys, as well. I told myself, it's a really, really tough golf course. It's tough for everybody.
But you know, I'm going to try to make as many birdies as I can because you're going to make bogeys. You're going to make bogeys. You're going to drop shots. So you have to take advantage. If you hit it in the short grass, you have to go after it. So that's my game plan.
Q. What would it mean to you to come out tomorrow to win a Senior Open championship?
ARJUN ATWAL: A lot. I haven't won a tournament since 2014. My last one was in Dubai. My last Tour event was 2010. So we'll see. You know, it's a long ways away but I'm going to give it my best tomorrow. We'll see.
