Q. A tale of two rounds, yesterday no birdies, and today five birdies, no bogeys. Talk about today's round for us.
SHANE LOWRY: Yeah, like yesterday, it was tough. You know, I felt like I played okay but I just couldn't make a birdie. There was hardly a breeze out there. Just kind of went through the motions. You know, I've been on the road a lot lately, and I think it was getting to me yesterday a little bit.
You know, relaxed a little bit today and kind of went out there and played freely. I don't have like missing putts, so you know, went out there and tried my hardest and thankfully it was a good day.
Q. Was there anything technically different?
SHANE LOWRY: No. If I'm honest, I had dinner with Tyrrell Hatton last night, and we had a couple too many glasses of wine. So maybe that made me play a bit freer today, and I kind of went out and just played carefree. Now, on to the weekend.
Q. It was a really good test yesterday with the wind. How different was it out there today?
SHANE LOWRY: It was still pretty windy today and still difficult. I didn't hit many fairways out there, and you know, I was just trying all along to make pars and make the odd birdie, knowing the par 5s were playing easy.
But yeah, it's a good test of golf. It's old school golf. You need to to shape your ball and you need to keep the ball in play, and small greens, and it's kind of refreshing to play that as well.
