Q. Thoughts, impressions on the course, the atmosphere today, your round?
COLLIN MORIKAWA: It was awesome. Honestly I didn't know what to expect. First tee obviously having Matthieu Pavon there, a Frenchman, made it incredible.
The first tee wasn't, I wouldn't say quite a Ryder Cup, but way more than a normal tournament for sure and way more than you would ever see an a Thursday. Hopefully we can bring some exciting golf. Didn't play great today but got out with 1-under.
Q. A different Olympic experience than Tokyo. Do you feel like you've had that proper Olympic experience?
COLLIN MORIKAWA: Honestly once you're an Olympian, you're an Olympian for life. How the week has started, going to the Opening Ceremony, seeing a couple other sports, enjoying it a little bit and then obviously getting focused for this week.
Q. What other sports have you seen?
COLLIN MORIKAWA: I saw gymnastic, obviously Simone Biles and the entire team. A few buddies on the water polo team. So will watch them both on Sunday.
Q. Do you expect the conditions to get tougher today?
COLLIN MORIKAWA: I don't think the wind is supposed to pick up and honestly I don't think there's really much weather so I think scores will continue to be low. You've got to hit in the fairway but if you're in the fairway, you can attack pins. You saw a handful of low scores out there today.
Q. Do you view today as a missed opportunity?
COLLIN MORIKAWA: Yeah, it's manufacturer a missed opportunity. I just didn't hit it well today to even give myself chances, and honestly didn't really make anything.
Q. What do you need to do to play better tomorrow?
COLLIN MORIKAWA: Hit it better.
