SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I feel like 4 on No. 18 here is a good score, I think.
Q. Is it a tricky hole to be aggressive on?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Well, I mean, with that pin, yeah.
I mean, there's so much risk coming in. I feel like a hole like 15, which today was 3-iron, 9-iron, but I couldn't imagine anybody late in the day getting close to that pin. I was looking at the pin from 18 green, it's on a slope like that it looks like towards one water. I was definitely playing away from that pin.
Yeah, overall felt like a decent day.
Q. Do you take tomorrow with the idea that fourth place doesn't mean anything, that that's going to affect strategies in terms of being aggressive when you get to a certain point in the round?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Not really. I think maybe in I'm in 18 fairway and the pin is where I was yesterday, and I need to be more aggressive, need a birdie to get into third, other than, I don't see much strategy change.
Q. Has this week changed anything you thought about the Olympics? Has anything about this surprised you?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I think the only big surprise was the crowds. I didn't really know what to expect from them but the crowds have been really nice this week. It's been a lot of fun playing in front of them.
Yeah, outside of that, still feels like you have the flow of a regular tournament. Once the tournament started, obviously the beginning of the week looked a bit different.
Q. You're in the mix. Do you feel like you're where you want to be going into tomorrow? Is a medal on your mind?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Well, I'd like to be leading. I feel like I haven't had my best stuff the last few days but I've done enough to hang in there and stay in the tournament. Around this course, you can get hot.
You saw Nicolai had a really nice round today, and I'm going to need something like that tomorrow if I'm going to be holding a medal.
Yeah, just look looking forward to tomorrow; getting off to a good start. I've birdied the first hole the last two days, and I haven't really been able to ride the momentum throughout the round. Keep trying to execute and put myself in spots and hope to see some putts go in.
