Quick Quotes

Q. End of four days here. Overall what is the mentality heading into the final day of the Olympic competition?

JOEL GIRRBACH: Well, I tried to be a bit more aggressive to get a better score in, but it didn't work out at all. I had a good start but then I just made too many mistakes, too many bad shots, and at the end, yeah, tough finish for me.

But yeah, it is what it is now. Still a nice week. Not the result I wish for but all in all it was nice to be here.

Q. Overall, what do you take away from this Olympic experience? What's something you'll keep to yourself the rest of the way?

JOEL GIRRBACH: I think the whole week, so many new experiences with the Village, with all the surrounding here, with the spectators, with the course. I think it's almost a once-in-a-lifetime memory. I think all in all it was amazing to be here.

Q. And to be the first Swiss man to tee it up in the men's competition, what does that mean to you?

JOEL GIRRBACH: I think it's very cool. I think it's also great for Switzerland, for golf in Switzerland that also the young ones can see it's possible. Yeah, I hope I can push them a little bit in the future; that we will see some more Swiss men, players, on tour and in the Olympics.
