Q. Looks like Jon might get it done here. Did you see that coming based on practise and the energy he had this week?
DAVID PUIG: Yeah, Jon played great last week. He's a great player, probably top of the world. Yeah, I know that when he plays good, he's always going to contend, and he played good last week, and had two good practise days.
So I think he's going to get it done and I wish him the best. He's one of the best players in the world again and I think he's going to do it.
Q. All of you guys are proud of your flag but seems extra special for him. How would you describe his love for Spain?
DAVID PUIG: I think both of us are super Spanish. We played for the national team plenty of times when we were amateurs and it's just great to be both here, carrying this flag around, and he's doing an awesome job of that. So I'm sure he's going to try his best to get it done.
Q. Obviously you didn't play the way he wanted to in the major championships this year. Did you sense that he really wanted this Olympic Games to change his season a little bit?
DAVID PUIG: Yeah, again, it's hard when you are that good. You see a missed cut somewhere, and not a very good result in another major, and you think the season has been very bad, which I could agree a little bit.
But he played 11 events in LIV Golf, and has not missed the top 10 since and won last week. I think his season has been very good. Yeah, if he wins here, it's going to change it for the rest of us, we'll see behind the scenes what goes on but I think his season has been great.
