Q. Did you feel this round coming? It seemed like you were kind of due.
CAM SMITH: Yeah, I feel like how I've been playing and the results have been two very different things. I feel like I've been working hard and doing the right stuff, so it was just a matter of time. I had to be patient. But I think kind of being technically a little bit too technical maybe --
Q. You said on TV you were worried too much about being technical and you just had to let it go.
CAM SMITH: Yeah, just kind of getting out of my way own today was really important and just trusting it. It's a tough golf course, especially to get it in the fairway, which is something that I've been struggling with. I decided to just kind of let it go and get out of my own way.
Q. You're a father now; is it easier to forget the disappointment of Augusta because you're coming home and you've got to be dad? Would you say that?
CAM SMITH: Yeah, yeah, for sure. I think there's been a really kind of weird mix of working really hard and not really getting anything out of the game. So I think that lends itself to be really harsh on yourself when you've working hard and you really want to get something out of your game. Yeah, I think that was part of it, and becoming a dad definitely helped that. It's just golf, at the end of the day, and I've always played golf like that, so there was no reason to change that. I think just working hard and maybe trying hard and not getting the results was very frustrating.
