THE MODERATOR: Let's welcome our clubhouse leader, Adrian Meronk, from Cleeks GC, and right behind him on his tail, Sebastian Muñoz, from Torque GC. Adrian, you are sitting at 16-under, you shot 6-under today. Tell us a little bit about your round.
ADRIAN MERONK: Yeah, it was a tricky day today. It was much colder. The wind was on and off. So it was playing completely different than yesterday. I played quite solid. I had a couple of bad swings, but overall I'm very happy with the result and excited for tomorrow.
Q. Seb, you also shot 6-under today. You're currently sitting at 14-under, only two strokes behind Adrian. Tell us about your round.
SEBASTIAN MUÑOZ: Yeah, just as Adrian said, played different, played way colder, ball was traveling less, golf course played longer, and I managed to make some good putts and get some momentum going, and pretty happy with the way I scored today.
Q. What's your strategy heading into tomorrow? You've got to build up a little bit of a cushion on your lead. You've got a little bit of chasing to do. Adrian?
ADRIAN MERONK: Well, nothing changes. I'm just going to try to shoot as low as possible, make as many birdies as possible like I've been doing the last two days and see what happens on the 18th green. There's no other strategy than that.
Q. Seb, are you going to be more aggressive tomorrow or keep doing what you're doing?
SEBASTIAN MUÑOZ: Yeah, just keep doing what I'm doing. I feel like I've done a good job of managing my strategy and hitting to the big spots and making some putts. Hopefully they drop tomorrow.
Q. Just wanted to ask both of you in terms of how cold it was today, was there a moment or two or maybe a shot or two that you feel like was impacted by the cold weather, or was it really not a factor in terms of the actual outcome?
ADRIAN MERONK: Well, I think the whole round was impacted by the weather because I think it was twice as cold as yesterday. Yesterday was 20 degrees, maybe today was 10 or 9, I don't know, but it felt cold. So we had to adjust, obviously, the numbers and how far the ball was flying, and also we had a little bit of the wind today, as well, which I think had a bit of effect, as well.
SEBASTIAN MUÑOZ: Yeah, basically the same. Yeah, it's just a matter of really feeling as cold as it gets the ball will travel less, so just kind of being real in tune with your body, and if you feel like this is a two-yard difference, five-yard difference. It was just progressive, and I think we did a good job of managing that.
But yeah, just as Adrian said, a little colder, tougher to move the body as well as yesterday, so just kind of get lower distances.
Q. Each of you have experienced team success out here and have had close calls for individual; what would it mean tomorrow to win an individual event out here at LIV Golf?
ADRIAN MERONK: Yeah, it would be special for sure, especially the first event of the year, as well. But I don't want to focus on that. My only focus tomorrow will be just one shot at a time and playing my best golf as possible, and we'll see what happens.
SEBASTIAN MUÑOZ: Yeah, it would mean a lot. I've been putting in some good work in the off-season and just practicing really hard, and I think it's beginning to show. I've just got to keep in my lane and see if things happen for me.
But we've worked hard, and it's time to show it.
Q. Saudi Arabia is known for its desert landscape and architecture. If you could design a golf hole inspired by Saudi Arabia, what would that look like?
SEBASTIAN MUÑOZ: There's this building on the way that we drive here that's like a spiral, and it's very impressive when you're underneath it, so probably something with it. But I guess if I'm designing, I'm going to design the screw, like interstellar. Like there's no gravity so you're going to have to play around it.
ADRIAN MERONK: I'm trying to use my imagination now. But if it would be based on Saudi Arabia, culture or landscape, probably would be a lot of sand around this hole.
Q. Adrian, to take you back to Jeddah last year when you led round 1, and this time in Riyadh you led round 1, but in round 2 you were still leading, when it wasn't the case in Jeddah. What changed for you?
ADRIAN MERONK: From last year? I don't know, maybe I'm getting better. I've been working on my game quite hard. We all work quite hard, so we want to be the best that we can be.
My game is progressing nicely, so I hope this is only the beginning of what I'm able to do and see how the season will shape up.
