Q. I know it's not the way you wanted it to end, but how would you sum up today and this week for you?
SERGIO GARCIA: Yeah, I mean, obviously when you're that close, you want to win it, but unfortunately that only happens to one guy, and it wasn't meant to be me.
I think that without feeling that great with my swing and everything, I was able to be there again, kind of like at Mayakoba. Let's see, hopefully I can feel a little bit more comfortable next week, see if I can get things going, and give myself a chance.
Obviously it's always a tough week, Augusta, and that course is just testing you all the time. But hopefully we'll play well and get ourselves up there and see if we have a chance.
Q. How long was that putt at 17?
SERGIO GARCIA: I would say it was probably 40 feet.
Q. Did you think at that point, this might be my day?
SERGIO GARCIA: No, 18 is so -- you know how difficult 18 is, and I knew that Dean was still -- he was 12-under in front of me. I didn't know what he was doing on 18.
I knew that obviously I had a chance, but it wasn't like a done deal or anything like that.
Unfortunately I just didn't trust my putt and didn't hit a good second putt. That's the way it is sometimes.
Q. Playoffs aren't treating you very kindly. It's golf, right?
SERGIO GARCIA: It's not the playoffs. I'm doing it myself. Obviously a couple of shots here and there. But it's what it is. You've got to keep giving yourself chances and wait for it to happen.
