Quick Quotes

Q. It was another great effort. How would you sum up the week?

SERGIO GARCIA: Yeah, I mean, it was hard all week. I felt like I played really well on the back nine. Front nine was solid, too. Don't get me wrong. But back nine was really good. Obviously I didn't make birdie on 10 being right on the fringe, and then had a couple good opportunities that didn't want to drop. Made a great birdie on 17 to give myself a shot.

Q. What an approach shot.

SERGIO GARCIA: Yeah. Then unfortunately on 18, a card bothered me right on my backswing on the tee shot. It wasn't a great tee shot. But then I had an opening there with a 3-iron, and then I just needed three or four more feet, and it would have been great. But that's what it is.

Q. How do you sum up the week as it pertains to next week? Obviously you've got great form going into a place that you've already won.

SERGIO GARCIA: Yeah, I'm excited about it. Like I've been saying all year, I want to go there and enjoy the week no matter what. I'm hoping that I play great and have a chance and make the cut and have a chance at winning. But even if I don't, I want to enjoy it because I think I deserve it, to myself, and it's -- 100 majors, it's not a small feat. I want to really enjoy every single one I play.

Q. Did you know what Marc was doing on 18 --

SERGIO GARCIA: I heard the roar, so I figured that -- I saw that he laid up with his second, and then obviously hit a decent shot in, and then I heard the roar, so I obviously figured that he made 4. I went for my shot, and unfortunately I was very close to pulling it off.
