Q. We know South Africa is a proud sporting nation and they idolize their heroes. Having a LIV Golf event here in South Africa, what does that mean to you?
DEAN BURMESTER: I mean, it's probably the pinnacle of my career, honestly. This is probably the greatest day I've had on the golf course, the most fun, the most backing I've ever had. I've played all over the world and I've never felt this kind of emotion and this electricity. Obviously they're backing the Southern Guards boys, and all four of us I'm sure were getting shouted for all over the golf course. That lifted us up.
We were at the top of the leaderboard, and it was a special day. I walked on to that first tee after the 18th shaking like a poisoned dog and shed a tear, really. Yes, it was emotional. It was amazing. That's about all I can say about it.
Q. What would winning in your home country mean to you?
DEAN BURMESTER: It would mean a hell of a party, first of all, and then after that it would mean a lot of reflection on what we've been able to achieve, bringing this kind of and this caliber of an event, this big of an event with this caliber of field and so many major winners and not only great players but great guys that want to grow the game of golf all over the world is truly magnificent, and to be able to do it here in our home country of South Africa, like I said, it's a dream all four of us had, and here we are and the dream is realized. I don't know how many fans there were that came through the gate, but it feels like it's only going to get bigger.
