Q. Jon, fantastic round today, 6-under par, bogey-free on a day where less than half the field were in the red numbers. What do you attribute your success to today?
JON RAHM: You know, I felt like I did everything I needed to do right, committed to the shots that I needed to, and then executed really, really well. Didn't miss a lot of fairways. That's a great key around here. Yeah, I think it wasn't until 1, which was my 16th, the only fairway I had missed was 14, and it was barely in the first cut.
If you can do that around here and keep it in the fairway, you can have yourself decent chances to look at the green, and that's what I did. Towards the end when I needed to make the up-and-downs, I did.
So far, just really organized golf. Did just everything that I needed to do right today. It was playing difficult, and nice to finish with a birdie, a little bit of luck involved in the first two shots, but still, sometimes you do get luck in this game.
Q. With 18 to play, you have taken a significant lead in terms of points for the individual title. How much more confidence does that give you going into tomorrow?
JON RAHM: Well, he did finish very strong, so as it comes to that, it's only a three-shot lead. But at the end of the day, there's still a championship at stake this week, and I would like to get my second LIV win.
Q. For the first time this week, it looks like you won't be teeing up with Joaco. What's your mindset going to be like going into championship Sunday?
JON RAHM: At this point I feel like it would have been nice to have the both of us in the third round to be together, but again, being at least temporarily in the lead right now by myself, the goal is to win the championship. If I can do that, the rest takes care of itself.
