THE MODERATOR: Let's welcome to the media center Abraham Ancer, Torque GC. Well played, 5-under 65 today, currently two back from the lead. How did you feel about the round and how everything was going out there for you?
ABRAHAM ANCER: Yeah, felt really good. Hit it really good off the tee. I was able to hit a lot of greens. I was hitting my numbers really nicely, and I started rolling it really good there. Had a nice stretch of birdies, and then unfortunately made just one bad swing that cost me a double.
But other than that, I played really well, gave me chances pretty much on every hole. It was a solid round. I really enjoyed it.
Q. On that birdie stretch, 11 through 16, once you put together two, three, four in a row, what's going through your mind? Are you keeping in mind all that's going on there, or is it just one hole at a time and not trying to think about it too much?
ABRAHAM ANCER: I mean, everything I do out on the golf course, I try just to stay in the moment, try to just focus on the shot that I have in front of me, although it sounds boring and cliche, but that's what happens me to stay focused and perform at my best. It's nice to pump yourself up, get some momentum, like let's get another one. You start seeing some nice lines on the green and I was able to see my lines and to see the ball go in was a nice feeling. I wanted to keep it going and unfortunately it went the other way towards the end of the round. But it's Friday; we're just halfway there. I feel really good about where my game is at.
Q. Last year Torque had success as a team here. How nice would it be to repeat? Right now the team is right in a good spot, T2 with two rounds to go.
ABRAHAM ANCER: Yeah, that would be amazing to culminate the season. I feel like all of us are maybe a little bit frustrated team-wise with our results. I feel like we have a great team, and we know that we could have done a lot better this season, and obviously we have that hunger of doing it, especially being the last tournament of the season. It would be really cool to do that.
But we've got to stay in the moment, like I said, and just take one shot at a time, and that will take care of itself.
Q. This is the second year that LIV Golf has been in Westfield, Indiana. What have you enjoyed about your experience in Indianapolis or at Chatham?
ABRAHAM ANCER: It's been great. Last year I would say it was probably the best events in the United States for sure. It was a great crowd. This year it's no different. The people are very welcoming. The golf course is beautiful. Even going to the sounding areas and the neighborhood, everything is so clean, so perfect. Even going into the grocery store, everything is very well put together.
It's just a very enjoyable atmosphere on the golf course, like I said, the people. Everything has been really cool. Some good restaurants too.
