THE MODERATOR: Michael La Sasso, welcome to the media center. Well-played today, 4-under 66. You currently hold the overall lead heading into the final round. How would you assess your play today, particularly coming off of obviously a pretty noteworthy round on Friday?
MICHAEL LA SASSO: About time, huh? I played really well today. It's enjoyable getting paired up with Wolffy. We play a lot of golf back in Jupiter together. When I saw we were paired up, I was pretty ecstatic about that, and he definitely brought the vibes out there today, so it was good.
Q. Following yesterday's round, what was your routine last night getting ready for today, and is there any chance you'd try and replicate that heading into tomorrow?
MICHAEL LA SASSO: We went to a restaurant close to our hotel. We had a great dinner with a couple guys. It's just another day. Just happy to be out here, and we'll see what tomorrow brings.
Q. Did the conditions today change up at all? Did the course play any more difficult with wind? How would you assess how it played today because the scores did not seem to be as low as they were the past few days.
MICHAEL LA SASSO: Yeah, I think the golf course is doing a fantastic job of being able to keep this place as best they can. I know they've gotten a lot of rain up here recently. So I'm grateful that it's able to be in such good shape in my opinion.
We definitely had a little bit more wind, but I think these guys can figure it out pretty good.
Q. Michael, obviously this is your 12th LIV Golf start, your 13th overall since turning pro. What would a win tomorrow mean to you in terms of maybe how you thought your progress would come this first year? Would it be quicker than you had hoped, or are you basically on track to what you were thinking?
MICHAEL LA SASSO: Yeah, I mean, to be honest, there's a lot of young guys doing a lot of good stuff. I'm friends with pretty much all of them. I would say it definitely fuels the fire.
There's been countless guys that I played with in college that have already won professionally now, so if I could add my name to the resume, that would be pretty sweet.
Q. Are you on a text chain with those guys?
MICHAEL LA SASSO: Yeah, I am. Definitely some of the guys that just moved down close to me. I think we're kind of all laughing now that we all live close together. It should be a good time.
Q. The last time you slept on a lead going into the final round was the NCAAs?
MICHAEL LA SASSO: It is.
Q. How did you deal with that in terms of sleeping on the lead, and do you think you'll draw on some of that overnight tonight?
MICHAEL LA SASSO: Yeah, I mean, kind of like I said before, it's just another day. I'm happy to be in this spot. It's definitely been a while. I'm excited more than anything. We'll see what tomorrow brings, but I'm ecstatic that I'm at this point.
Q. You talked about how much Steeley in particular has helped you this year. What's been one or two things specifically that you felt like you've learned from him and the other guys on the team?
MICHAEL LA SASSO: Yeah, I mean, definitely was kind of thrown into the fire a little bit. Having the ability to have those guys that were kind of around -- I mean, especially kind of watching them day in, day out. To me it's pretty cool to see how they are so level-headed most of the time. Every day it seems like they kind of do the same thing over and over again, and it makes their life a lot easier. It makes their caddies' lives a lot easier. Kind of just learning off of that, I think that's been a big adjustment. Especially with Steeley, he loves talking through equipment and stuff. I've kind of switched around a little bit this year. Kind of asking for his advice. He's been very helpful on that front.
Q. Obviously you've been traveling across the world this year. You probably haven't done much of that beforehand. Do you have an interesting travel story this year that you can tell us?
MICHAEL LA SASSO: I mean, every week has kind of brought something pretty special. Kind of going into this year, after every event, I always try and get something from each place, kind of just to hold as a personal thing to realize what I learned that week and something to reflect on.
Being able to say I've traveled all these different places, I have so many little trinkets at home just to go back on good memories and certain things that I learned from that week.
Every place that we've been to has been very cool.
Q. What's your favorite trinket?
MICHAEL LA SASSO: Trinket? One that stands out to me, we had a couple guys that were in the Army in Saudi Arabia and they gave us a little gold trinket there with like the Army seal on it. I think that one was in particular pretty cool, and then especially last week, we had dinner with the president and he gave everybody presidential medals. I would say those are two very cool.
