Q. You didn't drive the ball as well as yesterday, which meant you had to play defensively, but it's the same score as yesterday, a 69. Are you satisfied with that?
ABRAHAM ANCER: I'm satisfied, yeah. It could have been better. It could have been way worse, as well. I grinded it out. It's a big-time golf course; if you're not in the fairway, it's really tough to make pars. You can make some big numbers.
Yeah, it's just about getting in some nice runs, getting looks and just putting some good rolls. I feel like these greens are perfect, so I felt like I rolled it pretty nice.
Q. If you win tomorrow there's a possibility you can get that Open Championship spot. Is that something that's in the back of your mind or perhaps even the front of your mind?
ABRAHAM ANCER: No, it's something that I've obviously had in my mind since they announced the spot for us. Yeah, I'm going to be trying to play as good as possible. Looks like -- I haven't looked the last couple holes, but P-Reed is playing incredible golf. He's a great golfer, it'll be tough to catch him, but I'm going to give it my all.
Q. You have such a great demeanor out there. Is that something you've worked at?
ABRAHAM ANCER: I think over time you just realize that there's really nothing good about getting mad, and it hurts when you hit a good shot and you get penalized sometimes. It happened to me in Mexico, as well, exact same scenario, and it went back in the water, and it just is what it is. I'm not the only one. I'm not going to be playing victim and just feel bad about myself. That's only going to put me in a bad frame of mind and probably going to keep on doing some other bad stuff, so I just have to erase it, and the only thing that matters is the shot in front of me, and that's it.
