Q. Can you share your thoughts on the course setup here this week in Abu Dhabi?
WADE ORMSBY: Just had my first look at it this morning. Course is great. There's probably one new tee out there from what I remember. Course is in really good shape. Probably a little bit less rough than what we're used to but a lot less grandstands, but it's really shaping up to be a great week.
Q. Going on to last year, LIV Golf Adelaide was one of the standout moments of the 2023 league. Does the prospect of playing in front of a home crowd with that kind of atmosphere again inspire you to qualify for LIV Golf next year?
WADE ORMSBY: Absolutely. Adelaide is definitely one that I'd love to play. I was a bit disappointed I didn't get to play around the Grange last year. That was my home course growing up as a junior, so would have been fantastic to play there. But I've got my opportunity this week if I can do good enough and get one of those three cards, I'll be there. That's definitely going to be a fun one to play.
Q. You've previously played some LIV Golf before and have had success across the Asian Tour and International Series. Can you sum up what sets LIV Golf apart for you and what would securing a top 3 finish mean to you this week?
WADE ORMSBY: Obviously I played 2022, I played the whole inaugural season. I got a real taste of what LIV Golf was all about, the team golf, the camaraderie, the fast, exciting format, all that rolled into one, and it's a place I want to be.
On top of that, I played the Asian Tour along with the International Series events which have been a great addition to the Asian schedule. With LIV Golf League in the International Series that's pretty much been my schedule the last couple of years, so yeah. Try and get myself back on to LIV Golf League would mean everything, especially at this point in my career. I'm really working hard and I feel like my game is in a good place, so I'd love to get another taste of it.
Q. Does the team element of LIV Golf serve as an incentive for you, for your potential participation in LIV Golf next year?
WADE ORMSBY: Yeah, the team part of it's massive. I've been pro for quite a few years now, probably 21, 22 seasons, and it's a very individual sport, so to have that team aspect thrown into it, it's really -- yeah, put another dynamic into the whole game and into the locker room, and you're just not fighting for yourself, you're fighting for the other three guys out there, too. The camaraderie, like I said before, is huge, and you really find yourself fighting for each other.
Q. LIV Golf recently unveiled its 2024 schedule with events across Australia, Asia, South America, Europe, USA, obviously. Does that global nature of the league, is that something that attracts you to join?
WADE ORMSBY: Absolutely. We need to be more like Formula 1 and go worldwide and take this wonderful game to every corner of the globe. That's what LIV Golf is going to do, and that's what it's doing, and the early schedules the last couple years have shown that, and I think they'll continue to do that. We'll just see how things shake out.
