SUTEEPAT PRATEEPTIENCHAI: Today I doing really well because I missed one fairway. I made five birdies with one bogey. Yeah, very good for me. Good start.
Q. When was the last time you competed in an event in the U.S.?
SUTEEPAT PRATEEPTIENCHAI: Never here. Never played here. First time here. Yeah, so excited to play here. I never played in the U.S.
Q. When was the last time you were actually in the U.S. for any reason?
SUTEEPAT PRATEEPTIENCHAI: 10 years ago for travel with family.
Q. Could you talk us through your history in this event? You've reached the final day in both of the first two Promotions events.
SUTEEPAT PRATEEPTIENCHAI: Just really tired because it's playing 36 holes in a day. Here this year it's 18 and 18, right? It's more happy. This year I have my girlfriend to carry my bag.
Q. Good luck charm?
SUTEEPAT PRATEEPTIENCHAI: Yeah. I carry four wedges in the round. So quite tired.
Q. Would you say your experience in this event before might help you this week?
SUTEEPAT PRATEEPTIENCHAI: Not actually. I would say just really happy to play LIV Promotions again.
Q. First time in the U.S.; when did you get into town here, and have you had a chance to get --
SUTEEPAT PRATEEPTIENCHAI: I got here last week, in Miami a couple days, and then in Orlando, like, five days, in Disney.
Q. You've had plenty of chance to get used to Florida grasses, Florida weather, that type of thing?
SUTEEPAT PRATEEPTIENCHAI: Yeah, it's quite warm here. Not different in Thailand, so not change much.
Q. Had you played much coming into this tournament?
SUTEEPAT PRATEEPTIENCHAI: No, actually. In Miami I just traveled around, and then in Orlando, I went Disney a couple days. No play golf. No touching the golf.
Q. Even in Thailand, did you play much before --
SUTEEPAT PRATEEPTIENCHAI: Yeah, because off-season, so stopped golf. I touched a golf club a couple days ago.
Q. Last I looked, there were three Thai players in the top six or top seven right now on the leaderboard. Any particular reason for that?
SUTEEPAT PRATEEPTIENCHAI: I think the weather is quite warm. Yeah, the greens is not too firm and the course is not too long.
Q. Is there much similarity between playing golf here this week to playing in Thailand?
SUTEEPAT PRATEEPTIENCHAI: Not much. But in Thailand it's more warm, more hot.
Q. You're one of the star players on the International Series on the Asian Tour. Does playing those elevated events help you prepare for high-stakes, high-pressure events like this one?
SUTEEPAT PRATEEPTIENCHAI: Not much because I relax and not think about the LIV spot. Just play it for fun. Just play and walk with my girlfriend. I'm really happy.
Q. What was your favorite ride at Disney?
SUTEEPAT PRATEEPTIENCHAI: I liked the Galaxy, Guardians of the Galaxy. Very fun.
