Nasa Hataoka

Quick Quotes

Q. Here with Nasa Hataoka, the right-now clubhouse leader at 7-under. Nasa, what a birdie machine you were today. What was working so well for you at Crown Colony?

NASA HATAOKA: Good round today. I was focused on my putting routine today and that really helped me putt really well today, so I'm happy with the result today.

Q. We were just talking to Xiyu Lin who said she loved being paired with you today. You made so many long putts she said and made her want to do better. How hot was your putter today do you think?

NASA HATAOKA: Yes, I was putting really well. I was able to read the green and green speed and with the routine that helped me a lot, which resulted in a good stroke today.

Q. You had one bogey out there on your front nine, which is the back nine. After that, it was just lights out. What was it like being able to get on a roll like you were on today?

NASA HATAOKA: Not the best bogey I could have, but it wasn't something technical. It was more of a misjudge on my club, reading with the wind.

So I was able to handle that.

Q. And then four birdies in the last nine holes. What was working so well there on your back nine?

NASA HATAOKA: Yes, I was able to bring the front nine momentum to the back nine. Especially on this condition I was chatting Greg, my caddie, and we were able to manage really well.

Q. Not only do we see you do well on Florida courses, we also see you do well at 54-hole events. What brings out the best in your game in three-day tournaments?

NASA HATAOKA: Yes, I reside in Florida. I think that's a good advantage for me to play in Florida. Still not 100% comfortable with this type of grass, but I was able to play good.

Three-day tournaments, yes, I have a good image of it, so hopefully I can play two more good rounds.
