Quick Quotes

Q. Joined by Perrine Delacour after a bogey-free 5-under par 67 in the final round of Drive On Championship at Crown Colony Golf Club. Perrine, three birdies on the scorecard, and most notably, a 1 on the scorecard at No. 7. Take us through the hole, how it happened, what you hit, the excitement that ensued. We'll start there.

PERRINE DELACOUR: So I hit it really good. It was 146 meters to the pin and I hit a really good 7-iron. I started a really good line and then I pitch it on the green and then just roll in the hole and start screaming, jumping around with my caddie.

It's my second one in a tournament, fourth one in my career, so pretty happy about it.

Q. What was the post hole-in-one joy that ensued? Did everyone see it go in? Was the whole group excited? Any volunteers around?

PERRINE DELACOUR: Yeah, the whole group was excited. The volunteers at the green were jumping around because No. 7 is close to No. 3, so kind of everybody were looking at it.

It was a lot of excitement, but you have to get right back into the game on 8, which it's sometimes hard. But I'm glad I did it okay.

Q. Yeah, take us throughout rest of the day. You went bogey-free. How impressive was it to not only have the hole-in-one seven holes in, but to then follow it up with a bogey-free round the rest of the way?

PERRINE DELACOUR: Yeah, I played really solid golf. I got a rough start on Thursday. My first 12 holes I was 4-over and I told my caddie I was just going to try to hit fade and focus on the trajectory all week, and seems working. I shot 5-under yesterday, 5-under today, and then 3-under after on Thursday.

So pretty good, solid round.

Q. And then with the hole-in-one, $20,000 will be donated in your honor to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to help with pediatric care of cancers. What does it mean to you to hear that and to be able to contribute to someone else?

PERRINE DELACOUR: I'm really glad I did it. I mean, of course we're trying to make as many as we can, but, yeah, it's always nice help the children in the hospital and get them hopefully better and be able to come watch us playing.
