Quick Quotes

Q. Here with Ayaka Furue after her fourth round at the LPGA Drive On Championship. What was so great about your round today? What was different about the course? How did you play so good?

AYAKA FURUE: Some tee shots I hit it at the left side, but my second shot and my putter was very well today, so I think that made my day today.

Q. You've gone bogey-free in two rounds now. How important was that to limit the mistakes out there?

AYAKA FURUE: No bogeys are very important thing for my round. I always focus on trying not to bogey and I think that made today a very good round for me.

Q. I saw you had a chip in on No. 8, right? How important was that birdie right there for you?

AYAKA FURUE: I thought it was going to be a fast, so I was very happy when it went in.

Q. And finally, just how excited are you to be back in the States on the LPGA and just getting into the swing of things and having such a good round?

AYAKA FURUE: It's very great to be playing in the LPGA. I really enjoy playing this tour and I am very excited -- I want to learn English so it's good to be talking to people in English and I think, yes.

Q. One more. This is your second year now. Rookie year was last year. What have you learned during your rookie year that has helped you prepare for this year?

AYAKA FURUE: I learned that I need to save my energy for all the tournaments, and to focus one shot at a time.
