Quick Quotes

Q. All right, here with Celine Boutier. Place you got some good history so far, Arizona. What's it like to be back in the state where you kicked off that crazy, awesome year last year?

CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, it's awesome to be back. I always like coming here. I think it's very underrated for golf here. I feel like it's almost a golf state, so many golf courses and it's always pristine condition, especially at that time of the year.

So very excited about coming back, and this year is a new course so it'll be a new challenge as well.

Q. For you, what did that win do for your confidence maybe just kind of going through the rest of your season, getting four wins and having a shot at Player of the Year and doing all the things you did last year?

CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, it was definitely a long time coming, that one. I feel like it was just I had waited almost two years for that win, and just coming in Arizona I didn't really expect anything.

But it was really fun to be able to pull it off, especially in a playoff. That definitely give me some kind of relief for the rest of the season and some confidence as well, that, you know, when I was in that position I was able to pull it off.

So it was really good to get that one also in the early part of the season.

Q. This year I know coming off a year like that there is always expectations. It's always kind of a challenge. What are you looking for from yourself this season, especially with everything you get to defend and all sorts of stuff?

CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, I feel like I'm really starting over every season. Last year was definitely really good one for the books, so I'm not really trying to top that or even tie it.

I'm really just trying to give myself as many chances as I can. I know some of them I will pull it off and some of them I want. That's just the nature of the sport.

So I'm just trying to put myself in that position as much as possible this you're.

Q. More on the desert. Anything about desert golf that you really like? Is it something you like to play or you just have to do it?

CELINE BOUTIER: I mean, honestly, it's a lot about the views, just seeing the mountains in the background, like the sand, the fairway that's so green.

It's always like I said in good condition at that time of the year. So there is really, I mean, no bad -- nothing bad about it.

Normally there is no rough in these kind of courses, so that's always nice. I know the scores are typically going to be on the lower side as well, so, yeah, it'll be fun to kind of do it on a different course this year.
