Q. Okay, here with Gurleen after her first round at the ShopRite LPGA Classic. Just talk about your 5-under round today. Looks like six birdies out there and a bogey.
GURLEEN KAUR: Yeah, no, it was a good day. I hit the ball really well and had one three-putt from about 50 feet, so just silly mistake.
But other than that, just rolled it really well and I was just happy with how I was hitting it and how I was putting the ball as well.
Q. What have you been working on heading into this week. Anything in particular?
GURLEEN KAUR: No, I mean, I feel like the past few tournaments I've kind of had like one or two like mistakes that just kind of have like been bigger mistakes, so bigger numbers.
So I've been trying to clean up small things with my game. Nothing in particular. Just coming off U.S. Open and stuff, just trying to build on like the positives.
Q. And as a member of Team ShopRite, seeing all the stuff out there, what was it like to rep the brand playing the tournament?
GURLEEN KAUR: It was really fun. I'm really honored to be part of Team ShopRite still. With all the charitable things they do, I think it really speaks to who they are as a company.
I'm just honored to be a part of Team ShopRite.
Q. Wondering what the conditions were like out on the course this morning? Wind, stuff like that basically?
GURLEEN KAUR: Yeah, it was weird. It was foggy to start and really foggy on the range, so potentially not playing.
But it cleared up and then got foggy again.
So the ball is not going as far as you would think, but the greens are rolling really well, especially in the beginning.
Even the last few I thought were rolling really well. Definitely softer than years before. I remember last year I had a lot of notes about playing to front numbers.
You think they got a lot of rain here, so it's definitely different. Not as firm. Not as much like roll-out from the fairway.
Q. What does a 5-under in the first round of a short 54-hole tournament do for your confidence basically going forward?
GURLEEN KAUR: Yeah, it's a good momentum starter. Again, still have two more days. Just nice to get off to a good start and hopefully carry the momentum for Saturday and Sunday.
