Q. Joining me here today after the second round of The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican is Nelly Korda. Nelly, finished with a 63 today. Quite the improvement compared to your score yesterday. What do you think you sorted out today?
NELLY KORDA: I think I just capitalized on my good shots. I actually didn't play bad yesterday at all. I just went to the range after and then to the putting green and just kind of told myself that we need -- it's a fresh day and you never know what's going to happen.
So, yeah, I came out and I started capitalizing a little bit more on the better shots.
Q. Bogey-free. Do you think there was something that was really going well for you?
NELLY KORDA: Yeah, I mean, I was hitting it pretty good off the tee, and then when you are hitting it good off the tee on some of those shorter holes you can capitalize and you have shorter wedges in.
Yesterday I probably wasn't hitting it as close. I was hitting the greens but wasn't hitting it as close as I was today.
At the end of the day you have to make the putts and I just wasn't doing that yesterday; I did that today.
Q. 63s don't around often at Pelican Golf Club. Talk about making putts, what did you see differently on the greens today?
NELLY KORDA: I honestly wasn't putting bad yesterday. It was just like a little too much speed here, not enough break here. They were coming off well and I was doing what I was seeing, so I wasn't like too discouraged after yesterday with my putting because I've been working really hard on it.
It was good to kind of match up the speed and the lines, which is really important on grass or greens like this where it's literally like glass, because if you just hit it off a tiny bit, it just kind of dives on you.
Q. We know this is one of your happiest hunting grounds. Going into the weekend, just what's the mindset? What's your game plan really to continue capitalizing on some of those opportunities?
NELLY KORDA: Yeah, hopefully improve every single day when it comes to the greens or on the fairways; just capitalize on the chances that I do get.
Q. Understanding that there are days when a score does not match how you play, what was kind of the missing piece or felt just a little off yesterday?
NELLY KORDA: Just wasn't hitting it as close as like -- or hitting it out of the center completely as I would like to.
So you know, instead of having a 5- or 10-footer I would have a 15-footer. That makes a difference when you have a scoring wedge in your hand.
Q. As the day went on yesterday, did the frustration kind of build with that or are you pretty good at setting that aside and still swinging decent?
NELLY KORDA: I would say I'm not a robot so obviously getting frustrated when my putts are not going in and burning the edges.
