Q. All right, Matilda, you are one of the low scores so far of the this morning wave. Nothing like getting off to a hot start with an eagle on the 1st hole.
MATILDA CASTREN: Yeah.
Q. What was that like for you?
MATILDA CASTREN: It was pretty cool, first eagle of the year in a tournament. I think we had about 60 yards, and I actually didn't see it, but my boyfriend was watching and he yelled out that it went in.
So it was pretty nice to start with that.
Q. How much of a confidence boost did that help throughout the entire round today?
MATILDA CASTREN: It just got me off to a really nice start and I was obviously really happy after that. It's nice to hole-out from wherever off the green, so I was just in a really good mood after that.
Q. This entire day I feel like people have been really getting a hold of this course with the easier conditions. Do you feel like you fared well in that?
MATILDA CASTREN: Yeah, definitely this morning there wasn't much wind so we were able to take advantage of that. But the course is beautiful and I'm excited to play again tomorrow.
Q. As a 2020/2021 rookie is this your first time here in Hawaii?
MATILDA CASTREN: It is. I've never been here before and it's gorgeous. We came here a couple days early and just explored the island.
I can't wait to come back next year.
Q. I was going to say, with one more round and with a whole afternoon to kind of mentally reset, what is your mindset going into tomorrow and what will you be focusing in on?
MATILDA CASTREN: Kind of just play stress-free. Yesterday I made the cut so I could just go and play my game, and try to do that tomorrow again. I don't know what's going to happen this afternoon with the scores, but I'll try to do my best tomorrow.
