Q. All right, Allisen, another good day. You're still just a couple strokes off the lead. Birdie to close the round out. How do you feel you played today?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: I played really solid out there. I mean, had a really good front nine and hit a couple bumps on the back nine, but feels really good to finish with a birdie. I feel like I'm in a good spot for tomorrow.
Q. How do you come over that what you called the rough spot or the bumps mid-round? How do you get over that hump and get yourself back going straight?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I think it's really about staying patient. I really didn't play much worse through that stretch; just kind of made a couple misjudgments with the wind and stuff.
So really just telling myself like finish strong.
Q. Was the wind a factor?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, definitely.
Q. (Wind interference - regarding rocks and No. 16.)
ALLISEN CORPUZ: 16, yeah.
Q. (Wind interference.)
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I mean, the bad shot was the drive, so it was really just about moving forward and getting it back into play and just making sure that I don't take too big of a number.
Q. Talk about the gallery you had today following you. What was that like for you? (Wind interference.)
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, it's really awesome. I mean, this is the first time actually that couple of like my aunts and uncles have come out to watch me play.
So really you to have family out here and ans just have a lot of local start.
Q. Did that remind you of any the old LOTTEs you went to with some of the local players and their galleries?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I mean, I was really surprised at how many people showed up for me today.
It was definitely really special.
Q. Then how cool is it or what were the emotions like seeing all the little girls coming up to you after your round asking for autographs? (Wind interference.)
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, it really does feel like a full circle moment. I remember the first one that I came out to. Actually I still have a picture of me and Morgan Pressel from when I was like six years old.
So really special to be able to kind of give back and be on the other side of it.
Q. (Wind interference.)
ALLISEN CORPUZ: You know, honestly it really wasn't that bad of a putt. I just misread it. Didn't quite hit it the way I wanted to, so really just told myself to refocus and hopefully pick up a few finishing out.
Q. (Wind interference) When you're not making the best reads when the wind is up, how do you put that in the back burner and focus going forward?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I would say that I'm a pretty patient person. Just kind of always had like a pretty calm demeanor.
Really just kind of telling myself like the past is the past and just make the most of what's coming.
Q. (Wind interference.)
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, pretty much the same lie. A bit of a different shot, just because the hole was a little bit further up. That's actually a shot that I've been working on for a really long time, so it felt really good to be able to pull it off.
Q. I know you have another round to go tomorrow, but in your words, how would you kind of describe this whole experience so far and just being here at the LOTTE in your rookie season?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: It's been just like a dream come true for sure. Just awesome to see the local support and just see how much this tournament has come from when I was a little girl, and now being able to play this week.
Q. My last one for you is in this week you've been back, how much local food have you gotten so far?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: A bit of a mix. A lot of home cooking from my mom and then I've gone to a couple of poke spots.
Q. Almost at a home game for you again next week in L.A.; couple back-to-back home games for you. Looks like fun.
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Uh-huh. Yeah, I'm really excited.
Q. Do you have plans for next week to hang out with some old friends?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: I mean, I live really close to campus, so probably will be a busy week honestly.
But I think I have a couple of friends that will be coming out to support there as well.
Q. The photo you have with Morgan, do you remember what year that was?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: I posted it for the U.S. Open like two years ago. I want to say like 2006.
Q. Okay.
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah. I can get the right year for you, but it was a while back.
Q. Awesome. Fun memory.
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah.
