Q. Standing here with Yu Liu. First off, what a round. Great job today. Bogey-free 64. You were five back going into today. What was your thought process? Mentally what were you thinking going into today?
YU LIU: Honestly I knew I was five shots back. I knew if I put in a really good round I may have a chance, so that was just my mentality.
Honestly out there on the course I wasn't really thinking any score-wise. Just focus on one shot at a time. Definitely paid off.
Q. Very good. So you say that, but was there any point during the round that you knew where you were on the leaderboard?
YU LIU: Yeah. I think after five holes I was 4-under through five, and then I sort of took a glance at the leaderboard and I was not at the top, but pretty close to the lead.
I felt like if I can just keep the pedal down I may have an opportunity.
Q. Been on tour for six years. Coming off one of your more challenging years. What did you do in the off-season to prepare for this year?
YU LIU: Pretty much just the same thing over the last couple of months. I just started a swing change the end of 2021 and it's been a lot tougher than I expected.
So this past off-season it was just more of just being consistent and staying down to a couple simple cues and narrow it down. It's great to be able to narrow down to one or two things instead of all over the place.
