Q. Here with Swing Liu. What a week. I know a little frustrating of a finish, but what a performance. Tell me some of the emotions you're feeling and how proud you are of that effort.
SIYUN LIU: Thank you. Yeah, I'm definitely pretty proud of myself. I'm hoping to stay in the top 10, but for my first ever LPGA event it's a very good finish for me.
I'm glad that I got to play with some very big names this week and still held myself together pretty well. Made some good putts, also had some, I would say very borderline miraculous saves for me. Those are the shots that I walk up to them and I'm like, oh, I'm dead, and then I somehow made up and down.
So, yeah, I'm pretty happy with where things are this week. Could have cleaned some shots up a little bit better, but that's golf. You miss some shots and you make some better shots.
Q. You told me earlier in the week you were just out here to see where you compare.
SIYUN LIU: Uh-huh.
Q. Playing golf like this this week, how do you feel like you compare at this point?
SIYUN LIU: Well, like I feel like I can survive on the LPGA. That's like one of the main conclusions I have, I guess.
And two, like I can also see where my weaknesses are compared to the best players in the world. Like I got to play with Nasa the third round and I definitely saw that her wedges are a lot more dialed in than mine.
That's something I definitely will work on in the future, and hopefully I can put myself closer to where Nasa is after some like more dialed in practice.
Q. Obviously playing in the Epson Tour primarily, Epson member. What kind of confidence will you take back with you when you go back to play your next Epson event from this week?
SIYUN LIU: I guess mainly I can play more aggressively now, because this entire week I've been leaving myself in some short-sided misses, positions, and I managed to get the majority of them up and down from there.
So I would say I can go more at the pin from now on, because like my old playing style used to be like I just leave in the middle of the green and try to putt everywhere. Now I feel like I can go right at it.
Some days I hit it really straight and it's going to work out really great. Some days I don't, but I can still make pars from all over the place. So, yeah.
Q. And just finally, I know we talked about it, but where is your confidence level now? You've got to be proud. You're pretty hard on yourself from what I can tell, but you've got to look at yourself and be feeling confident about the status of your game.
SIYUN LIU: Yeah, definitely a lot more confident leaving this week versus coming into this week. One, I didn't think I could qualify for this event to begin with and, oh, wow I actually made the cut, and I'm in the top 10.
So, yes, that's definitely a big confidence booster for me. I don't know if I can put a finger on the specific level, but I can tell you I can trust my golf game a lot more now.
