THE MODERATOR: All right, welcome to the 2025 LOTTE Championship. I'm pleased to be joined by A Lim, Hyo Joo, and Hye Jin. To A Lim, could you please tell me about what stands out to you about your win at last year's event?
A LIM KIM: So last year's championship that I got the trophy, that means a lot to me because that was my first win after four years. So I think it was really meaningful that I can be the winner last year.
Q. Hyo Joo, you won here in 2022. What about this event stands out as being special to you?
HYO JOO KIM: So winning in 2022 was very meaningful, but at the same time it was quite pressure because it was a game, a tournament prepared by my sponsor.
But it's all the more meaningful that I overcame all of the pressure that I had and I became the winner in 2022. That means a lot.
Q. For all of you, LOTTE is such a strong supporter of women's golf. What does this tournament specifically and also LOTTE support in general mean to each of you?
A LIM KIM: I'm so proud to be a part of this LPGA tournament sponsored by Korean company. It's quite rare. In this aspect it's very meaningful to all of us I think.
HYE JIN CHOI: Actually personally, I spent quite many years with LOTTE, and it's all the more meaningful that I can be part of the journey as well. I'm also grateful for the support from LOTTE, having this meaningful event here in U.S. as well.
And I didn't actually get the trophy in U.S. LPGA yet but this can be a great chance for me. We'll look forward to it. I also look forward to my achievement this year as well.
HYO JOO KIM: So the first line I mentioned is that all the lines I was thinking about was same as Hye-Jin. So thanks to her we understood very clearly.
But also I have my gratitude for LOTTE not only for supporting Korean women's golf, but also LPGA as well.
Q. What are you looking forward to this week being back in Hawai'i? Are there any restaurants? Is there something about the golf course? What are you looking forward to for this week?
A LIM KIM: So first of all I want to enjoy the beautiful coast, beach of Hawai'i and also some traditional local food here. Not specifically, but overall food that I can try here.
HYO JOO KIM: So actually I've been in Hawai'i for many, many years. Almost every year. So I actually don't try some rare places or new places. I go to places that I used to go. I might go those places this year as well.
HYE JIN CHOI: Actually, as Hyo Joo just mentioned I also visit here almost every year, but this year is quite different because last week I didn't have my regular tournament so I was here one week prior to this week. I enjoyed snorkeling for the first time here in Hawai'i and also enjoyed some local food, such as poke. So it's a new experience for me this year.
Q. This tournament is unique in that it's scheduled to be in the primetime broadcast window in Korea. How does it feel with your home country watching and supporting in primetime?
A LIM KIM: So LOTTE Championship is quite huge in Korea because it's sponsored by a Korean company. I believe many fans in Korea are watching and rooting for us, and personally I want to win, but of course we need to all do a great job this week.
HYO JOO KIM: It was a shame that many Korean fans cannot actually watch other LPGA tournaments held world wide because of time zone and time difference. This time I think it's a great chance for our Korean fans to support our Korean women golfer.
So I think it's going to be a great opportunity for us to show our play this time.
HYE JIN CHOI: I hope that we can be on TV a lot and we will try our best to repay the support of our fans in Korea with great results this week. I also want to show our fans another great performance this week.
