Press Conference

THE MODERATOR: Jin Young, the last time we saw you was in Florida in November when you won the $1.5 million. How would you spent your three months off from the LPGA Tour?

JIN YOUNG KO: Well, it was pretty short to me. And I'm back to Korea, and I spent time with my family and friends and my dog as well. And I watch Netflix in my bed with potato chips.

And, yeah, I didn't practice much over four weeks or five weeks. And I go back to States in Palm Springs for winter training for the month. And I got here.

THE MODERATOR: What did you do in Palm Springs for your training?

JIN YOUNG KO: I wanted to fix something in my swing. So I practiced a lot in my putting, as well as my game, everything.

THE MODERATOR: Can you tell us what you were working on in your swing?

JIN YOUNG KO: Well, many people say my swinging looks fine, but it doesn't feel comfortable into my swing. So I want to change to my backswing a little bit. And it's still working on, but getting better.

THE MODERATOR: And I know last year you were having some problems with your wrist. S that getting better?

JIN YOUNG KO: Yes, it is getting better so far.

THE MODERATOR: Good. We like to hear that. Last year, you ended the year so well. I have some numbers. You were in the top ten 9 of your last 10 starts, five wins. You were also on a streak of 63 consecutive greens in regulation, which is the most in recorded history on the PGA Tour or the LPGA Tour. How have you become so comfortable on the golf course? Why is the golf course comfortable for you? Is it comfortable for you?

JIN YOUNG KO: Well, I don't think so. But, well, yeah, I think my irons, my club is good. Like not me, like my clubs are good.

And many people say, yeah, you hit the green 63 straight and all. And many people say this week is important a little bit, but I don't want to think about it. Just having fun on the course. Yeah, course condition is amazing. So I love it.

THE MODERATOR: You mentioned the course conditions. How is it out there other than hot?

JIN YOUNG KO: Well, I played last year. Last year was more than -- more hot than this year. So I'm feeling than last year. So it's better. Better to better. And but some keys change to the back. So it's going to be played a little longer than last year. But still fine. Everything's good. Greens, fairways, like carpet.

THE MODERATOR: Good like to hear that. Did you fly here from the States or Korea?

JIN YOUNG KO: Korea.

Q. How long of a flight is that?

JIN YOUNG KO: Six hours.

Q. Not bad. So what have you been able to do while here in Singapore? Last year we couldn't go out at all. Have you been able to do anything here this year?

JIN YOUNG KO: Yes, my friends live here, so I visit his home, and I had chili crab and pepper grab, and I visit the restaurant last night. And I had bamboo -- bamboo, like I don't know name, bamboo, like tree. Yes. And big fish and crabs as well.

And I was really full, so I couldn't sleep well last night till this morning. So I didn't eat much at all.
