Q. Here after the first round of the HSBC Women's World Championship, Brooke Matthews. You went 3-under today and you're up there at the top. How are the condition out there and how did it feel?
BROOKE MATTHEWS: Yeah, it was good. Conditions, pretty mild but just a really tough golf course. So important to manage your emotions and manage your game. There's not a lot pins out there that you can fire up. So just taking advantage of of the opportunities.
Q. This is your first appearance in Singapore?
BROOKE MATTHEWS: Correct.
Q. How has it been so far, just the tournament as a whole?
BROOKE MATTHEWS: Yeah, it's been a great tournament. Singapore is really cool. It's a place that I've always wanted to come to. So it's cool to explore the city a little bit, and yeah, the golf course is great and the tournament has been maze solid golf far.
Q. It's always a good sign when you're playing in the beginning of your season starting in February. How are you approaching this year compared to your year on tour last year?
BROOKE MATTHEWS: Yeah, definitely a lot different than the last few. I think I had like a five or six month off-season. So a little shorter off-season but did what I needed to do kind of in the off-season.
So just kind of making sure I know it's a marathon and not a sprint. Obviously the goal is to get off to a about start but making sure I'm just in good shape for the whole year.
