Q. Joining me here today after the first round of the HSBC Women's World Championship is Haeran. Really good round out there, 4-under. What went well for you today?
HAERAN RYU: I think today, first time I play well the first round this year. So I just focus on my shots and try to make as many birdie chance and go for the green. Make lots of birdie today but a mistake, one bogey but that's my fault. But I have three more rounds to focus.
Q. Coming off the off-season, was there anything you worked on that you will feel like helped you today?
HAERAN RYU: Yeah. It's such a short off-season. But I'm trying to work hard with my coach on my shots. Because last year, my shot always trust my shot but last year is not good. Just working hard on my swing and control my shots. It's why today I hit well, and yeah, I'm so happy to be back on my swing.
Q. So how did the weather affect your game, or was it because it was okay at the beginning and then became hot? How was it?
HAERAN RYU: Yeah, well, it's so hot and humid today but it's better than last week because last week Thailand is so hot. Today, yeah, it is still hot, too, but it's a little bit better than last week.
Q. You mentioned this is the first tournament you've gotten off to a good start in the first round. How important is that heading into the rest of the tournament?
HAERAN RYU: I think I'm very slow starter. I just want to more enjoy and then more keep working hard on the golf course.
