Q. Great finish this week. How does that kick off your season?
PAULINE ROUSSIN-BOUCHARD: Really well. Even though the start of the season was a little bit rocky, and last week there were a lot of tears, and my Mum came to the rescue this week. Had a few chats with a few people that are usually, like, really helping me with the mental side of things. Because I've been playing well, and it's nice that I'm kind of like playing good early on and not like waiting mean to get it started.
Q. Obviously travel out here is a grind, going all around the world by yourself. How do you manage those highs and lows?
PAULINE ROUSSIN-BOUCHARD: I have my family who is obviously like always there for me no matter what time of day. I mean, for instance, last week was a little bit of a low. Had a bit of a breakdown on the golf course.
So my caddie is there for me a lot. He really understands me really well, and then once I get off the golf course, I usually talk to my parents a lot and they really advise me in the right direction. They go with me, not against me. They are just like, yeah, I just love having them in my corner all the time.
Q. Is there anything that you can take way from this week for the rest of the season?
PAULINE ROUSSIN-BOUCHARD: A lot. I was trying to change my mindset for this week. Last week, was like, you can do better. You can do way better.
This week every time I was telling myself that, I was trying to find the positive in every single thing, even though sometimes I'm asking my caddie, can you tell me the positive on this one because I really can't see it.
So I'm definitely going to take that dynamic for the rest of the season, and everything has been pretty much the same things. It just lines up really well. Playing good, mentally good, things were lightening up. So I'm glad it turned out to be a really, really about week.
