Quick Quotes

Q. Okay, you did amazing coming in. What was the last couple holes like for you today?

BRITTANY ALTOMARE: Pretty good. I mean, the back nine I hit it -- like I played on the par-5 really well. Hit my wedges close and that's pretty much it.

Like I just hit it close today. Which was nice.

Q. How do you feel being back here at Meijer?

BRITTANY ALTOMARE: Great. I mean, I love this place. I played really well in 2019. So far so good, so I don't know. I like it here. I have a host family I really like and I think we get a lot of support from the community, which it's so nice seeing everybody back out here.

So, yeah.

Q. How much does that build up your momentum, too?

BRITTANY ALTOMARE: It definitely does. Hearing claps and cheers and all that stuff helps your momentum, so it's great.

Q. What would you say is probably the best part about this event?

BRITTANY ALTOMARE: The fans. I mean, I know they don't have it at the scale it was two years ago, but the Grand Taste, it's such a unique event. You don't get it at any other event, so it's really cool.

Q. And may I ask were you working on anything in particular in your golf game before this week? Putting? Long game? Short game?

BRITTANY ALTOMARE: Nothing in particular. Just a little bit of everything. Just kind of trying to focus on just playing golf. I feel like I been getting in my own way a little bit, so I just really focused on just playing golf and having fun out there.

I think I lost it a little bit, so...

Q. How did you manage to do that the past two days?

BRITTANY ALTOMARE: My caddie really helped. She's just great. She just talks to me about random things and makes me laugh. I think that really helps. We've been working really well together the last couple months.

Q. Is it a new caddie or have you been with her?

BRITTANY ALTOMARE: Yeah, Auds and I started working together in Vegas, but we had worked together a couple events few years ago, too. She wasn't totally new.

Q. Sorry, how do you spell her name?

BRITTANY ALTOMARE: A-u-d.

Q. R-e-y?

BRITTANY ALTOMARE: Yes. I'm a terrible speller.

Q. Me too. And last question is: Next week is KPMG. What are some of your hopes to use this in week in terms of prep for next week?

BRITTANY ALTOMARE: Yeah, just focus on, like I said, just staying present, having fun out there, just playing golf and like really just getting out of my own way. So that's good.

My dad lives in Georgia now, so be nice to have him come and stuff and have family there. That'll be good.
