Quick Quotes

Q. Top 3 finish for Janet here at the Meijer LPGA Classic for simply give. What was this week like for you, and talk us through the last round.

XIYU LIN: I think I played really good this round. I started off a little bumps and couldn't quite find the fairway, couldn't quite find the green. But the chip-in on No. 4 was pretty pumped for myself.

I know you just have to shoot really low here, and I'm trying to get it going. I kind of got it going in the middle of the day, and then just a little bit losing concentration and everything. But I think overall it's a great week for me.

Like I said, my body is not 100 percent healthy yet. I definitely feel super tired at the end of the day, but I still hung in there really well. Leona just played too good.

Q. With KPMG on the horizon, what can you take away from this weekend?

XIYU LIN: Like I said, I was doing a little regroup with myself the last couple of weeks and trying to get my game back. I'm glad to see this good result coming in because that means what we were working on, it's paying off. It's only the beginning of the season. We have so many majors coming up, so many big tournaments.

I think it's trending good. Like it's in good process.

Q. You talked about how you need to make birdies out here on Sunday. Were you leaderboard watching, and what was it like watching Leona just keep pushing that lead?

XIYU LIN: I kind of stopped watching in the middle of the day was I was just like -- we kind of talked about it, too, my caddie and I. We all know you need at least 20-under to get any kind of chances, and it was a really packed leaderboard.

I'm pretty sure there are players just going up, going up. For me having a slow start all I was doing was thinking about how to get myself back on track. Wasn't really paying attention.

Yeah, definitely last hole, seeing that, I was like, hmm.

Q. Is there a different mental approach when there are so many people in contention on the last day?

XIYU LIN: Yeah, definitely. I think this is probably one of the fewer times that when I'm in contention but there are just so many girls. I feel I have learned a lot.

It's harder when you're in that position than to really concentrate on your game because there's holes -- you just never know who's going to get up there and who's going to have a couple birdies in a row.

I learned something today how to stay in process, stay true with myself, with my own game. I feel like I didn't do the best, but I did pretty good.
