Quick Quotes

Q. All right, another bogey-free round. You're setting yourself up pretty well going into the final day. How are you feeling after this round?

LYDIA KO: I felt like I played really solid. Missed couple short ones, but -- I put really good strokes on it but I just misread them.

So all I can do is be committed and hit good shots and kind of go from there. Yeah, I don't really know how many shots behind I am, but I got to focus on my game and hope for nice sunny weather tomorrow and see where that puts me at the end of the day.

Q. Probably about four or five back depending on what 6 does here. You trailed when you won last time here. You've come back before. Think you can do it again?

LYDIA KO: That final round the year I had won was probably one of the best golf I had played. I think when I had miss-hit shots I was really creative and used the undulations to kind of my advantage.

So, yeah, I think I played really smart then and finished really strong birdieing 17 and 18. Especially then I think because I had a few-shot lead coming down it put a little less pressure on the last couple ones. It was more like, Oh, let's cruise it down there, and ended up falling.

So just with golf you just never know. It's never the end until the glove comes off and the final putt drops in on the last. I just got to stick to my game plan and see. There is so many big names, a lot of players playing well, so I think you just -- I have to focus on me and go from there.

Q. What are your thoughts on Yealimi. She is another young player, played so well with you today. I think she's got one stroke ahead of you right now. What's it like playing with her? Thoughts on her game?

LYDIA KO: She's super impressive, hits it far, pretty straight. Yeah, so I think her ball striking was probably really impressive. I played with her a few times over last year and this year. I enjoy it. Obviously she's put herself up in contention and up the leaderboard quite a few times so it's not an unfamiliar name. I'm sure her name is one that we'll see throughout the years during her career.

Q. And then finally, how have you changed since you won here?

LYDIA KO: I think the pressure of -- I think especially during that time I think I was close to Morgan's record and this tournament was the last one that I could break it. I honestly thought, you know what, it's the last time. What are my chances? It's not like I broke it before so I probably won't break it.

I think that made it a little less pressure per se. And winning that I think gave me the confidence to say, Hey, I can be in contention and win majors. That allowed me to win ANA, which was the next one a few months later.

Yeah, a lot of good memories for me here, especially with the -- I became an Evian ambassador after that and my long-time partnership with Rolex as well. I feel like somewhat I'm playing in front of family, so I enjoy it this week.

And even the week that I came second to Suzann I think really changed it for me and gave me a lot of confidence to say that, Hey, I can put myself up there and give me hope for the future majors.
