Q. All right, here with Anna Nordqvist. Nice solid start to the week. 4-under 67. One blip on the card. What, five birdies? A little bit of a slow start. How did you get the momentum going on the back nine -- the front nine, which was your back nine?
ANNA NORDQVIST: Yeah, well, I started on the back, and those first couple holes there aren't really the easiest holes. Made a good -- hit a good wedge shot to probably like three feet on 15.
I mean, in general I feel like it was really solid. I hit most fairways, most greens. Didn't really make any putts in the beginning. Gave myself a couple opportunities there at the turn, and then made a good putt on 4.
I hit it close on 6.
Then finished with two good birdies 8 and 9.
So just in general it was a really good group. Both Jin Young and Lydia played really well, and I think between all of us we had one bogey.
So solid play, and always love coming here. It was just good atmosphere.
Q. What switched with the putter? Was it just nothing was falling or did you switch the mindset, switch lines, try to do something different with your speed?
ANNA NORDQVIST: Yeah, there are a lot of hard pins out there kind of tucked against some ridges or the humps and bumps on these greens.
Feel like I hit some good putts but just couldn't really figure out the reads early on. Gave myself a couple good looks and took advantage of the ones that weren't turning as much.
Q. This is a very hard golf course, very notoriously tricky. You've been here a bunch of times. How much does that prior experience help you, especially when you have that slow start to stay patient and go, there is still a number out here?
ANNA NORDQVIST: Yeah, I mean, it's definitely -- you know if you start maybe even being too aggressive or start missing in the wrong spots you can have tough shots. The green is thick in places and even around the fairways if you miss it in the wrong spot.
I think just patience. I love majors. I love the challenge. For a while there I felt like I tried to do my best to keep up with them, but overall it's good day.
