GABY LOPEZ: Yeah, the day was pretty tough. Wind picked up a lot in the afternoon and pretty much all day. Very solid off the tee. Great putts that dropped for birdie, for par.
But overall, hitting it pretty good.
Q. Kind of take us through the birdies, the best holes today.
GABY LOPEZ: Yeah, I started off 10; I made a good putt there for birdie.
And then on 13 I hit a bomb off the tee. I had 54-degree wedge and I hit to 15 feet and made the putt.
And then just another couple. I think on 16 I hit it to three feet.
Overall very solid ball hitting and, yeah, and putting.
Q. We were talking yesterday, more so today, about being where you are right now and kind of the attitude, the attitude that you showed today for the rest of the tournament.
GABY LOPEZ: Yeah, I've been working really hard just mentally being able to stay calm and enjoy the moment, enjoy my game, and just be grateful for that.
Q. Looks like one of the hardest things to separate is when you're working hard you realize that once you get on the golf course you don't have to work anymore, you just have to enjoy it.
GABY LOPEZ: Exactly. It seems that you're working really hard off the golf course, and then you just have to let loose and enjoy the ride.
As soon as you hit a good shot it could get a shitty bounce, and you just got to be very patient, accept that the ball is going to end up wherever it has to end up.
