Q. Okay, here with Celine Boutier after her first round. Bogey-free round, and I know you had that streak of four birdies. How good did you feel about your day today?
CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, I feel pretty satisfied with the way I played. I definitely took advantage of a lot of holes on the front nine. It was not as windy on the front as well, so it was nice to get going.
And then made some mistakes on the back but was able to make up and down quite a bit, so it was nice to be able to put a low round in and put myself in better position for tomorrow.
Q. Yeah. How hard is it for people who don't know to go bogey-free on this course? We've seen very few bogey-free rounds.
CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, I think any course if you can go bogey-free it's always good. Again, I was lucky this morning. The front nine was really calm so I was able to put myself in a lot of the birdie positions, and then it's definitely starting to pick up now.
And the course is getting firmer as well, so it's a little bit harder to hold it on the greens and stuff like that. It's definitely making things a little bit more difficult, and, yeah, any time you can go bogey-free is always good.
Q. What got you going on that streak of four birdies on the front? Was it your putting? Approach game?
CELINE BOUTIER: You know, I feel like it's a little bit of both. I was able to hit it close on No. 2 and then was able to make the putt.
And then same thing. I was maybe like under-12 feet each time and was able to make some good putts there so that kind of got me going. Alena also played really well in my group, so we were kind of going back and forth and it was very fun to both play very well.
Q. Last question: I know you played pretty well here at this course last year. What do you remember from that experience that's maybe helped you be successful this year?
CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, I remember last year the conditions were a lot more difficult actually. I remember it was a lot more windy and so I think it was playing a lot harder. This year just because it was a little bit calmer the first two days it just likes like -- seems like it's more accessible and you can be a little bit more aggressive.
So I think I that's nice.
But the greens are definitely the getting firmer round after round so I feel like it's definitely getting a little bit harder and harder.
