Q. Okay, I'm here with Nelly Korda after her third round. Nelly, you put together really good round out here today. Just tell me about the day. I know you really got off to a great start, five birdies in a row.
NELLY KORDA: Yeah, it's great. Having the crowd out here, too, kind of behind you makes it even better. Won't complain. Wish I kind of got two of those holes back, one really silly mistake three putting, but that's golf.
I mean, it's going to give you some; it's going to take some. You just got to battle.
Q. Mentally when you get on a five-birdie run like that, what's going through your head?
NELLY KORDA: You just kind of keep firing. You keep firing at pins and keep choosing your lines and you try to narrow your targets down to even smaller little targets and then you just kind of shoot at them.
Q. It's no surprise, obviously from here, crowds are here. What is about this golf course that you've really just figured out?
NELLY KORDA: I don't play it too often. Like last time I played it was a year ago. Growing up I just played my U.S. Open qualifiers out here, but it is a Donald Ross and I play out of a golf club not too far from here called Sara Bay which is Donald Ross style as well. It's similar.
Growing up on this kind of old school Florida grass helps because it is tough to kind of hit it off this.
Q. Obviously had the 65 last week. Gave you a ton of confidence heading into here. Today, another 65. What kind of confidence are you carrying forward into tomorrow?
NELLY KORDA: Yeah, I'm hoping that I can get on the run that I did last weekend, or on Sunday, but at the end of the day I'm just going to take it a shot at a time and see where it takes me and try to dial in on those small targets.
Q. What's been clicking for you especially well this week?
NELLY KORDA: I think just kind of overall, I mean, if I've made some mistakes it's been like a loose shot here, loose putt here. It's kind of all sort of come together.
But obviously I would like to tighten up all the loose ends, but I'll take it. I mean, I'm scoring, and at the end of the day doesn't matter what you have on the range, doesn't matter what you have on the practice facility. You have to go out there and you have to go out and perform.
Q. What have these crowds and this support -- I mean, it's so fun watching a Nelly crowd period, but to do it in Bradenton is even better.
NELLY KORDA: Yeah it's great. I was telling Jay that like I've never had like a sign made for me that they've put it up in their backyard. For the first time -- I think even last year I didn't get it. I had one this today and I was like, oh, that's so sweet. To see everyone come out, even from IMG. Growing up I went to IMG. Seeing the junior students come out and watch, it's been amazing to see the home crowd.
Q. What did the sign say?
NELLY KORDA: It says -- my gosh. Nelly Country or something. Something like that.
Q. I love that.
NELLY KORDA: Yeah.
Q. Love that.
NELLY KORDA: It was great.
Q. I have just one last question. I know you and Megan are really good friends. She put together a great round. Obviously a chance right now you might play together tomorrow. You said last year that really helped you, playing with a good friend.
NELLY KORDA: Yeah.
Q. What did it mean to see her round or will you talk to her tonight? Excited to play with her?
NELLY KORDA: Yeah, would be exciting to play with each other. We haven't played together since -- I mean, competitively I think since last year here, but we played together at Solheim Cup.
Yeah, it's nice to kind of play with someone you're very familiar with that you can have a conversation with. But we'll see. May the odds be ever in our favor.
