Q. Angel, you're all smiles after first round 69. How did it feel out there today?
ANGEL YIN: It was a bit tough. I think I have a gluten issue that I just figured out yesterday, so happy I played pretty well.
Q. A gluten?
ANGEL YIN: Gluten. It's perfect because I'm from California, so everybody has that issue. It's not a myth.
Q. You played well out there. I want to say one thing: You showed some magic on No. 8 today. Such a great chip shot. Was it pretty wet out there? How is the course playing?
ANGEL YIN: Well, good shooting. Hopefully no more bogeys on my last hole. Course-wise, pretty dry actually. Drier than I thought. Maybe that's why they let us playing the ball down. I think a lot of people were surprised. Got some mudballs but 90% of time it was not.
Q. You have so many good memories out here. Why does this course fit your eye so well?
ANGEL YIN: I don't know. Maybe because -- well --
Q. Because you're a bomber.
ANGEL YIN: You just tell me what to say. That's true. I can't think straight. Nice layout, right? Jack Nicklaus.
