Q. Alongside Georgia Hall; one of the few low rounds we're seeing so far out here this afternoon. Already a major champion. How do you approach these early rounds in the majors?
GEORGIA HALL: Yeah, I think it's important not to get too ahead of yourself. Especially me. I'm quite good at doing that.
I really enjoy coming to this golf course and I kind of had some good rounds before, so I was feeding off that and managed to hole some good putts today.
Q. It's been a tough start to the season for you.
GEORGIA HALL: Yeah.
Q. Ahead of obviously what you did out here today. You told me you had a little bit of a change in your mindset. What is that?
GEORGIA HALL: Yeah, I feel like my golf is pretty good to be honest. My mindset has been a bit negative at times and like not focused on the present, so I went out there and just like tried to make that my top priority today, like even over hitting golf shots.
I seem to be in the better place with it, so, yeah, just kind of like happy with day one. Obviously long way to go.
Q. Got off to a good start right away. Two birdies out the gate. How would you describe the conditions overall out there this afternoon?
GEORGIA HALL: I think pretty tough. The wind got up quite a bit more than we thought it would. But I think the course is a lot softer than last year. I remember it bouncing a lot on the greens and like in the fairways, so obviously the fairway's made a bit wider because of that.
Yeah, I think the pins were a lot tougher for day one. Happy I got a morning tee time tomorrow and hopefully the wind will be a bit less.
