Q. Just talk about the bounceback today. Got to be proud of that effort.
NELLY KORDA: Yeah, I mean, at one point I was 7 over, so...
Grinded a lot on the two birdies on my eighth and ninth hole really helped kind of boost it.
Then knew that there were some gettable par-5s on the back nine, front nine.
So, yeah, just crazy day. Go from win a tournament to just make the cut.
Q. What did you prove to yourself on the back nine when you had to get it done?
NELLY KORDA: I have to grind and keep your head down. Have faith.
Q. How would you explain the emotions of the last two days?
NELLY KORDA: Yeah, very up and down. Just my word today was have faith. That was my motto. So, yeah, I didn't really have much though after when I made two bogeys, but I just kept repeating it to myself, yeah.
Q. Made a putter change today.
NELLY KORDA: Yep.
Q. How did that help you?
NELLY KORDA: I mean, I putted for an hour and a half after the round yesterday, so just needed something different. Sometimes that's all you need.
Q. Is that the putter that you won this last year...
NELLY KORDA: No, no. The first day is what I had when I won.
Q. What positives do you take from this going into the weekend here?
NELLY KORDA: Just one shot at a time.
Q. You have a whole weekend to go, but what is this, does it feel like a victory to you in a sense to make the cut when it didn't look likely to do it?
NELLY KORDA: Yeah, it's another round to build on.
Q. What are your thoughts on finishing. Obviously the darkness was impending and assuming you wanted to keep with your momentum.
NELLY KORDA: Yeah, it's tough. Obviously weather plays a really big role in the game of golf, and sometimes you just have to grind it out even when it's a little dark out.
