Quick Quotes

Q. How was your day?

BROOKE HENDERSON: So much better. Yeah, I'm really excited to have the round I did today, especially the front nine. That was a lot of fun. Felt like it gave the fans something to be really excited about, which I'm always trying to do, so that felt really nice.

Unfortunate to drop a couple shots on the back, but nice to get the birdie on 16 and donate some more money to CPKC Has Heart. That was awesome.

This was overall a great week. I didn't play my best but the fans out here were amazing. I feel really satisfied today.

Q. When you come to this event and you're not in contention as you would like to be and you're quite a ways back, is your focus just, I want to put on a show for the people that came out here to see me today?

BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, you know, today it was really important to me to try to have a really good round, try to play a little bit more freely, and try to make some birdies.

Yeah, it was really exciting that stretch, 7, 8, 9 where I really had things going and the crowd was excited. I really enjoyed that a lot. It was a lot of great momentum, and even though I wasn't in contention on the weekend, the crowds out here were amazing. Just felt really nice to have their support.

Q. When you leave this tournament does it feel a little bit like Christmas just ended and it's going to be another 365 days before I can get back to play in this event here again?

BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, a little bit, and little bit I get to take a deep breath now and let it out and basically start preparing for next year.

You know, it's always an amazing event, what CPKC does for charity and all the people that come out to watch.

You know, I just took a peek at the leaderboard and it's going to be a great finish I think with Sei Young, Jin Young, and Megan. That will be a lot of fun to watch.

Q. Eight tournaments left this season. What's the biggest thing you'll take from this week as a positive as you go forward?

BROOKE HENDERSON: I didn't have my best stuff this week but I was able to grind it out when I was struggling. Then today I was able to kind of ride a wave of momentum. 5-under through nine holes is a lot of fun.

So even though it wasn't my best, there were times that I was doing the right things, and I feel like I learned a lot in the times I was kind of struggling a little bit.

So lots of positives to take away, and hopefully next week be a little closer to the top.

Q. ...this week that it's been a challenging season. What specifically is maybe troubling you this year?

BROOKE HENDERSON: You know, it just hasn't been my usual season I guess, if I can say that. Maybe just not the consistency that I'm used to.

I think overall when things start to slip a little bit you can panic, and I feel like I've done that a little bit this year so far. I'm trending in the right direction. I've been saying that a lot, too, but I really am.

I feel like any time I can be back in the final groups on the weekend and trying to hoist my 14th win trophy.

So that's the goal. Just keep working and try to stick to the process.

Q. You got a big ovation, 16, 17, 18. How does that feel? You're used to it here, but does to get old at all?

BROOKE HENDERSON: It's phenomenal. Just the love, support, all the people that came out to watch. They didn't really care what I was shooting, which was also really nice. They were just happy to be out here watching.

I can't really thank them enough, and it means so much to me. I am happy though that I played a little better today and I could maybe put a few more smiles on their faces.
