Q. All right, we are joined by Sei Young Kim after the first round of the JM Eagle LA Championship. 7-under today. Only one bogey. Can you talk about what was going well for you out there?
SEI YOUNG KIM: Yeah, very dry golf course conditions, so greens are really fast. I try to every putt very try to make the distance.
So, yeah, it's tough, which means I'm not trying too hard, so it makes a lot of birdie on the course.
And then, yeah, par-5 we got the downwind, like couple -- two is par-5, so it is big advantage. Is, yeah, reachable.
So, hole 16 or -- 15 is par-5. I had a pitching wedge to the, yeah, to the pin, the second shot even like par-5.
So, yeah, it's play like really solid today. Yeah, it's LA is a great weather always and I'm very happy to walking on the course.
Yeah, I'm glad to back here, yeah, I play very solid. I'm very happy with that.
Q. You hit 17 of 18 greens in regulation despite struggling to hit the fairways. Talk about that and your approaches in after you hit the fairways.
SEI YOUNG KIM: I miss couple of fairways, but even that, if it you got the good look, balls are still up, so it's not trouble too much.
Yeah, but even in the bunkers it's not too deep so it's not tough to lay -- reach the green, so I can more the aggressive from the tee shot, yeah.
Q. We're getting a little bit deeper into the season. Majors are starting next week. Talk about the state of your game.
SEI YOUNG KIM: Yeah, I'm very exciting for that. Yeah, Houston is nearby to my house, so, yeah, I play last week for the practice round. The course is amazing. Like very wide open and then it's good for the major tournament. That course which is mean.
Yeah, I'm very exciting for that. I can't wait.
This week is also important, so, yeah, always happy to play the major tournament.
