Quick Quotes

Q. All right, here with Jin Young Ko after her final round to the JM Eagle LA Championship. Really good round today. Bogey-free. Four birdies. Can you just take me through your round a little bit?

JIN YOUNG KO: Yeah, the first three round I had a little bit of like trouble in my game, but today I had really good game and was, yeah, pretty good.

The course is not easy, so I tried to be patient and trying to get better than yesterday. So, yeah.

Q. Are you surprised to see your name so high on the leaderboard?

JIN YOUNG KO: Yeah. It's been a while. I work hard as I can and I know last couple weeks I had like -- I was in Korea and I played Chevron; I missed the cut. I was little disappointed and I tried to keep like cheer up myself.

Lots of Koreans out there, so I had a lot of good energy with them, from them, so I'm really happy to finish today.

Q. We haven't seen you out a lot. Just can you tell us what's been going on?

JIN YOUNG KO: Yeah, I was in in Korea after Singapore. I wanted to and I needed to more take a rest a little bit because I know this tour is really hard, travel a lot.

So I thought, yeah, take maybe like three weeks or four weeks of like golf club -- it will be better to me I thought, so I took a rest.

Yeah, I had a lot of, yeah, up and down in my life last couple months, but was okay.

Q. But physically you're okay?

JIN YOUNG KO: Yeah, getting better.

Q. Is it still the wrist?

JIN YOUNG KO: No, no.

Q. Just going into Founders Cup, that's where you'll play next, defending champion, right?

JIN YOUNG KO: Excited.

Q. What does this kind of round today, how does it help you as you head into being a defending champ?

JIN YOUNG KO: Yeah, I think I'm not a good golfer. I'm trying to be get better and better.

Yeah, before the Founders Cup, yeah, it's really happy to finish high score. Yeah, I mean, like to play golf, but it's sometimes really hard to play golf, so we need to be patient. Like it's really hard.

But also I'm very thankful playing front of a lot of Koreans. So I'm very happy person I would say.
