Q. Joined by Carlota Ciganda after her first round here at the Mizuho Americas Open. Very solid six birdies for you on the day. What was working so well?
CARLOTA CIGANDA: I think I played pretty good. Hit 14 greens today. Started really well with three birdies on the front.
I hit it pretty close on 2. I hit it to like 15 feet.
And then I had a five-feet birdie on 4.
Good birdie on 8 as well.
I missed a short putt on 10 and bogeyed 12, but then I came back and had a great birdie on the par-5, 13.
Couple birdies to finish.
So yeah, very pleased with the round.
Q. You had a great week last week as well in Utah. How different are those two courses?
CARLOTA CIGANDA: Yeah, very different, especially how the ball is flying. You come from Utah that is 3000 feet and then you come here to sea level, it is very different.
I think it's a great golf course. Today was very nice conditions this morning. We didn't have much wind so it was very scorable.
I think tomorrow is going to be a little bit different with the rain coming. Yeah, very happy with 5-under to start.
Q. What's been working in your game or what have you been working on to be able to translate your game from The Club at Carlton Woods, like last week in Utah, to this week at Liberty National?
CARLOTA CIGANDA: Yeah, I'm happy with my team, coach, caddie. I feel a lot more at peace. I think we have, yeah, a good routine going on.
Yeah, we're just working like we always do, with Casey, my caddie. I'm very happy out there. I think we have a good plan and he's very confident and he -- I can feel that from him.
Also very peaceful.
So just feeling a bit more comfortable out there. Yeah, just happy.
Q. When you're playing this consistently, how do you continue to build when you start strong like today?
CARLOTA CIGANDA: Yeah, I mean, that's what you want. You just want to keep going. I've been playing pretty good the first couple days and then not amazing the weekend.
But I think you just have to be up there. The more the better, and the more comfortable you're going to feel. Yeah, it's a great start on this golf course and hopefully I can have a good four days here.
Q. Today the Ladies European Tour and Saudi PIF came together for a five-event series. I was wondering perhaps if you heard the news and what your thoughts might be regarding it?
CARLOTA CIGANDA: Yeah, did I see something. I mean, PIF and Golf Saudi, they are big supporters of women's golf, especially Ladies European Tour. Yeah, what they are doing, it's amazing for golf, for us, putting all those amazing events and tournaments.
Yeah, I hope we can have a great partnership with them and we can have their support for many, many years.
