Q. Just to keep the momentum rolling from Chevron, how important was it to get off to a good start here?
NELLY KORDA: Yeah, really important. It's important any week when you need to get -- once you start, gosh, I don't know how many shots I started behind at Chevron. Once I got flowing, I made a lot of birdies. I made a lot of mistakes but I also made a lot of birdies.
I think when you see the putts drop and you see your game coming back, iron play coming back, I think it just kind of all leads to a little bit of momentum, a little bit more positivity around the golf game.
Q. What was your physical game plan trying to attack this golf course this week?
NELLY KORDA: I don't know. I mean, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday the golf course was so saturated, and with the wind in the afternoon, it's starting to pick up now, I mean, it just can get really difficult out here.
So just depends on the weather that you have. In the morning the wind was down and you could be a little bit more aggressive with how the golf course is with the shots into the greens.
Yeah, it's all very weather-dependant.
Q. It's a huge coffee area we're staying at.
NELLY KORDA: Yeah.
Q. How many coffee shops have you been to this week and how many do you plan to go to?
NELLY KORDA: It's tough. I'm a little heartbroken because I'm still dairy free. I hate oak milk. I'm just grinding through it. I'm getting like oat milk with a splash of vanilla because I can't stand it. Probably one every day, yeah.
Q. Today the Saudi PIF and Ladies European Tour came up with a five-event series. Wondering if you saw the news and any reaction to it?
NELLY KORDA: No. I've been out here since 6:30, so no, I have not.
Q. One more question from me. Obviously a new commissioner is set to be named. Wondering, anything perhaps under the new leadership you would be looking forward to or want to see implemented?
NELLY KORDA: Yeah, I think just capitalizing on the growth of women's sports. You know, a lot of people are really eager to invest, and finding the right partners that are long lasting partners that really love the Tour, love the product, want to go to grow with us is really important. That's for the commissioner to find and also us players to play and give that commissioner great product.
Q. You hit out of a divot. You were making some motions with your wrist. You feeling okay? How is that?
NELLY KORDA: Yeah, I feel fine. When it's wet out here and you have to hit down into it, I mean, you get a bit of ground.
Obviously you're swinging fully into it, so it's a hard stop. It's not the best feeling for your wrist but there is nothing severe from it.
