CELINE BOUTIER:
Q. Here with Celine Boutier after her second round here at the Mizuho Americas Open. Just tough conditions today. How did you stay so steady?
CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, it was definitely very different than yesterday. It was playing a lot longer, pretty soft, too, so very challenging.
I was able to hit pretty decent. I had a lot of greens in reg and I was able to be pretty steady, so I feel like that was pretty positive.
Q. Knowing the forecast is going to clear up the rest of the weekend, what are o you hoping to do on Saturday to come out of the gate firing?
CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, hopefully more birdies and an opportunity to go a little bit lower than today and put myself in good position for Sunday.
Q. Talk about the mental grind of a day like today when the rain is on and off, having to take gloves on and off and umbrellas and all that type of stuff.
CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, I thought it was tough but I was excepting it to be a lot tougher. I think especially the front nine we didn't play with any rain, so I feel like that was pretty positive. When it came down it came down pretty hard, so th was a bit tough.
I think the toughest part was how cold it got at the end. Definitely the hands were getting pretty stiff and cold, so it was a little bit harder there.
But overall I think I was expecting the day to be challenging, so I think when you know what you're going to get you just stay more patient and you also manage your expectations a little bit better.
Just try and make pars.
Q. Had a lot of pars, few birdies, couple bogeys on the card. Any holes stand out at critical moments in the round?
CELINE BOUTIER: I think I got a few good breaks towards the middle of my round. Made a really good long putt on No. 9 to make a birdie.
Then made a birdie on 10, too, so that was really positive.
Missed a few putts toward the end, but overall I feel like I was able to stay pretty steady all day.
